Job!

Ever since Clint bought his truck he has been searching for a job. It’s hard for kids to find a job these days. The traditional kid jobs are all being done by adults. (Yes, President Obama, I can see that the economy is really making a comeback!) In the meantime, he has been spending what little he has left from his loan fixing some basic things on the truck. Like the speedometer cable. That is a big one. We won’t let him drive it without knowing how fast he is going. Not that he can speed on the open road in his truck since it doesn’t do well past 60mph. However, he could easily speed in town. The cable is being repaired today and he is pretty much out of money.

As God likes to do, He has waited until it was critical for Clint to have a job. Yesterday, he provided one. Clint got hired to work at the Hotel Nauvoo restaurant. Unfortunately, they needed him this weekend and we will be out of town. But, he has a job! He will be able to put gas in his truck and, hopefully, be able to help pay for the insurance. We have cheap car insurance but it still costs money! The nice thing about this job is the restaurant closes in November. He should be able to work until basketball starts. And, it will give him a foot in the door in the spring when they reopen. Yep, my boy is taking more steps in the direction of adulthood.
