We have been having some really hot weather here. I know a lot of the country experiences heat waves during July and August. We certainly are not the exception! We have actually had about 2 weeks without rain during this hot weather. The lack of rain has been nice. That all ended yesterday as the rain fell fast and heavy in the morning. The same thing happened today. There have been some spectacular storm clouds and lightning shows along with the rain. Thankfully, there hasn’t been any really scary weather. Here is the sky from just a few minutes ago. This morning’s sky was especially ominous. We were too busy running around getting chores done before it hit to take pictures!
I am not sure if it is the hot, humid weather or what but we have been having some pretty breathtaking sunsets, too. Actually, I would have to say that we have some of the best sunsets that just about anywhere has to offer. Here is an example from last week.
