Ang.’s Chicken Coop

Softball is in full swing again. This year Clint and Karly are playing for our teeny (pop. 20 including the dogs!) town’s team. This is a really fun league that costs very little to play. Just the price of a t-shirt actually. Karly is having a great time and has pitched for the first time in a couple of games. Clint is playing for the pure fun of playing and that is great to see. His team is a bit stacked with some excellent softball and baseball players on it. So far they have creamed every team they have played. Jasmine wasn’t going to play softball at all this summer. She didn’t want to play for the town team and we just couldn’t justify the cost of gas for her to play the traveling team. However, that traveling team needed another player and Jasmine really wanted to play so Tom made the decision to let her play. The coach is a young woman that is a neighbor. She will take her whenever we can’t. That helps a lot and we just have to pay the registration fee. She is having fun and is the only experienced catcher on the team. I guess she knows what position she will be playing. At any rate, the summer will be busier than I thought it would be. I suppose that’s okay. Someday this will all be over and I will miss it.
