Honey!

We are very fortunate to never have to buy honey. Tom has become friends with a man in Wisconsin who is part of the bee association and he sells bee supplies. The last time Tom was there he was given a FIVE GALLON BUCKET of honey! That is a lot of honey, folks!

And that bucket is very heavy and bulky. I had no where to store it in my kitchen and I kept having to wipe honey off of my floor. So I decided to put it into jars.

I was sitting beside a sunny window and I got caught up in the bubbles and the sun coming through the honey. Isn’t it pretty?

Tada! Honey in a jar. I plan on sharing some of this honey because we have so much of it now.

We have been enjoying honey on our toast and our cereal. I have a friend who says she has a cookbook with recipes that require honey. I can’t wait to look at it. I also need to break out the bread machine. There are several bread recipes that we enjoy that use honey. If you have a great use for honey, leave me a comment.
