Somehow, it has come to my attention, that my 2 oldest children are growing up. They are nearly beyond needing acne treatments and they have much more adult thoughts these days. And also dates. They are also having dates. DATES!!!!
Homecoming was this past weekend and Clint and Jasmine both had dates to the dance. Jasmine went with her new boyfriend, Aaron and Clint went with a senior girl that he really didn’t know very well. It was a very eventful day as we had to attend out town festival that morning and then come home to get everyone duded up for the dance. Clint was pretty much on his own except for me ironing his shirt. Jasmine of course met some of her friends at another girls house to get ready together.
Hair got did up.
Some people were trying not to smile while their mom took a picture of their Shirley Temple curls.
Makeup was applied.
And suddenly 14 year old girls look a whole lot older!

Clint did a pretty good job getting himself ready.
Each of my kids had different outcomes with their dates but they both had fun! I am glad that we survived that first without any heartbreaks or real drama. Whew!
