There is a commercial on TV right now that depicts a woman rushing off to go Christmas shopping. Her husband says, as she is rushing out, “Didn’t we just carve pumpkins?” Her reply is, “They have lay-away.” So that got me to thinking about putting some things on lay-away for Christmas. I used to do that a long time ago and it was a good system. Do you know what I found out though? K-Mart is the only national discount department store that has lay-away. Wow. That shocked me because you know that other discount store used to have it. But I see they phased it out. That’s okay, I like K-Mart and don’t shop at that other store anyway! K-Mart still gives people a way to afford Christmas gifts or more expensive items without using a credit card. Kudos!
If I were to run off shopping to K-Mart right now, this is what I would put on Kmart Lay-Away. It has nothing to do with Christmas and all to do with myself. I am having a bad day and a little retail therapy, even with delayed gratification, would be good.
I have been wanting a big deep fryer for a long while. Frying onion rings for a family of 6 in a small fryer takes to long. I like this one because it is big and it stays cool to the touch. And maybe with a bigger fryer I would attempt fried chicken again.
I am heading to Quincy on Monday. Perhaps I will have time to run into K-Mart and put some things on lay-away (like that fryer!). The only problem is that K-Mart is about 35 miles from my house and I don’t get there very often. I wish that K-Mart Lay-away had an online payment option. That would be the best! (Are you reading this big wig K-Mart folks?) Adding an online option would be taking lay-away to a whole other level. Just think about it, k?

Even tho I will be retiring on Nov. 20th, thanks for the plugs. Even tho we do not offer online payments, you may mail your payment. We have several customers that do this and only have to go to the store twice concerning their lay-a-way, once to make the lay-a-way and then to pick it up.

I’ve never bought something on lay-away. Seems kinda odd to have to keep paying money without having recieved anything. Course you get it in the end, but still…
