I have spent a lot of time dealing with these 3 dogs that were dumped in the last few days. I talked to a local gal yesterday that does dog rescues to see if she could help out getting these dogs placed. She requested pictures and as much information as I could give her. I sent that email off late yesterday and I hope I hear something back from her soon. I spent quite a bit of time looking at different breeds trying to pin down what breeds Max might be. I am quite sure, no 100% positive, that he is not part Boston Terrier. I did not have to consult a Boston Terriers Dog Guide Article to decide that. Of all the terriers, that one was easy to eliminate just based on his coloring and body type. But I am quite certain that he is part terrier, perhaps Jack Russell or Rat Terrier. I find it interesting that all 3 of these dogs are terrier or terrier crosses. And because they were dumped, I am assuming the owner did not bother to read about terrier care before taking on the dogs. Terriers really do require a lot of attention because they are people dogs through and through. When I was raising Jack Russells, I wouldn’t sell a pup to anyone who wasn’t ready to have another child. That is exactly what most terriers are like, full of energy and in want of constant attention. I am anxious to get these dogs placed because right now this family is unready for another child, let alone 3. More on this in a few.
